Cristina's Favorite Foods
Here are some of my favorite foods that refllect a part of my culture.
This is a Puerto Rican dish called a jibarito. it is a sandwich with fried plantains used as the buns. It is definitely one of my favorite dishes because my family really loves them and we love going out to eat them. Ponce is a traditional Puerto Rican food restuarant in the Chicago-land area.
This is pozole. It is a typical Mexican dish that reminds me of my family gatherings. My grandma makes pozole during special occasions and I love it so much. My family loves this Chicago-land traditional Mexican restaurant called, Sol de Mexico, click here to try!
These are enchiladas. Enchiladas are another very typical Mexican platter. My grandma makes the best enchiladas I have ever tasted and I am in love with them.
These are quesitos. Quesitos are a Puerto Rican dessert that are pastries filled with a sweet cheese and go perfect along with a coffee.(click on the image to learn how to make them yourself!)
